Matt (left) worked for the Ramones for about 12 years, during which he saved a vital part of Ramones history. All the equipment was stolen but at the time he was repairing Johnny's white Mosrite in the hotel so it survived.

When Matt "retired" George (above) took over. I was there when George almost lost the zero-fret nut off the white Mosrite down a heating vent in New Jersey but he tells the story better than I do anyway. After three shows George was replaced.
