From late 1975, Johnny used Marshall amplifiers exclusively. Because the Ramones rented amplifers for overseas and a few other occasions, different versions of these amps were used. And whenever the Ramones had their truck of equipment stolen, they had to go out and get new amps. Pictured above is a Marshall Super Lead 100-watt like the first ones used by the Ramones from 1975 to late 1977. But before being particular, just keep in mind that if you are trying to get the Ramones sound, any tube Marshall 100-watt amp is just fine! | |
