Of course the amplifier itself is only half of the amplifier. The speakers play an equally important role in the overall guitar sound. Pictured here are some of the speakers that were most likely in the Ramones speaker cabinets, and the dates shown. Celestion has reissued the 25-watt "Greenback" although in my opinion they do not compare to the '60s speakers they were meant to emulate. Fortunately, they do sound closer to the 1970's 25 watt Celestions that were part of the Ramones sound in their classic years. | |
