This guitar was used on "I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend" on the first album and as a second backup live. Probably stolen.

July 22, 1976: A rare photo of Johnny playing his white Fender Stratocaster. This photo was taken by Tom Hearn at the (now defunct) Arcadia Balroom in New Haven, CT. Thanks Tom for letting us use this photo! From the white pickguard, large headstock, logo, presence of two string trees and a bullet trussrod we have dated this guitar from around late 1972 to 1974. So no, it is not "like the one Hendrix used" but Strat collectors are welcome to send us any more info.
